For over three decades Ricky Quinn has been helping others convey messages, information and ideas through printed materials. Introduced to
printing as a teenager, he has followed a rewarding career from
pressman for his high school newspaper, to Proprietor of Quinn Business Services, in Canton, Mississippi. His distinctive style of design reflects an extensive hands-on experience with small offset printing presses through the composition of elaborate spot color lithography.
Ricky has been continually designing in
Central Mississippi for many distinct organizations, companies, and individuals; each with varied and specific needs and
ideas.
Beginning as a Pressman for the Madison County Herald in 1974, he went on to work for The Bank of Flora/Bank of Bentonia as the sole employee of its implant print shop, in mid 1975.
Upon attending college, Ricky secured employment with the University of Southern Mississippi Printing Center. While pursuing a double major in News Editorial Journalism and Photo Journalism, with a minor in Personnel Management, he was also involved with the production of printing for artists, professors, students and the University.
After college, Ricky took the position of Assistant Manager
for the North Branch of Neely Reprographics, Inc., in Jackson, Mississippi. In addition to overseeing the Offset
Printing and High Speed Xerography Departments, the new aspects of business operation and the reprographics industry were added to his experience: Diazo Blueprint production, stock and supply ordering, Customer Relations, pricing, and computer operated high speed Xerographics.
In 1982, Ricky left Neely Reprographics to open The Publik Notice, Printing & Office
Supply in Canton, Mississippi.

of The Publik Notice, Printing & Office Supply
One of the last of its breed of small town establishments, The Publik Notice Printing & Office Supply closed it's doors Christmas Eve, 1997. With the introduction of the personal computer and national chain discount stores moving into the area, changes quickly became necessary. Ricky chose to close his store front and change the name to Quinn Business Services thus privatizing access to his skills and services. In this way, he could continue providing the services of a full line office supply and a print shop.
